NEUPC CIPS Study Centre

NEUPC recognises that employing suitably qualified procurement staff is vital for our universities to deliver efficiencies and value for money, but a skills shortage in the profession means a some institutions find filling these positions a challenge.

Since September 2016 they have offered the opportunity to study for CIPS qualifications at levels 3,4,5 and 6 and procurement apprenticeships through our study centre with excellent achievement results above the CIPS UK average.

What are the benefits to CIPS Study?

You study across a range of procurement and supply topics which will help your career whichever direction you choose.

Through the NEUPC Study Centre, we contextualise your learning to the HE Sector. Whilst the CIPS materials focus on traditional supply environments, we want to ensure that you learn how theory and recognised best practice can apply in the real workplace. You also have a great opportunity to network and learn from your peers in the sector.

Have you heard about the funded CIPS Level 4 though Apprenticeships?

With the introduction of the Apprenticeship Levy in 2017, many people already working in Procurement roles are be able to study as part of their full-time role, with the full course fees paid for by your institutions Apprenticeship levy. If you or anyone in your team is interested in the Level 4 Diploma in Procurement and Supply, you may also be interested in our apprenticeship scheme to cover funding and also further develop their skills through an end point, work-based project. We can also help you with recruitment of new apprentices though posting your advert on the national apprenticeship website and UCAS. Have a read of our information sheet for more information.
