Estates Drop In Session Feedback

The first Estates Group interactive drop-in session took place on the 17th September 2020 at 10.00am – 11.00am. The idea behind the drop-in session was to have an open forum where members can discuss any specific framework agreements and for members to and ask any questions/queries that they may have in relation to the Estates Frameworks.

The session was also aimed at providing additional support to all our members during these challenging times as this session would be for all NWUPC Members and not just the Estates Category Group.

The idea was presented to the Estates group members for their endorsement, feedback and more importantly to know if the interactive session will be beneficial to the group. Members unanimously agreed that it was a great idea with any extra support for the Estates Group welcome. A survey was then sent to the group for interested members to register any questions they may have, this also helped us look at particular areas of interest for the session for our members needs.

Following the survey that was sent to the wider group, we received several replies relating to areas of interest/questions covering areas members wished to discuss on the day;

  1. Receiving a general understanding of frameworks available and options within them and a greater understanding of what the frameworks are.
  2. Specific areas that include - construction, cleaning equipment, chemicals, and signage.
  3. Estates purchasing response to COVID areas for aggregation.

Overview of Discussions at the Meeting – The Estates Drop In Session covered a range of areas throughout the category that acted as discussion points for those who attended. Areas discussed included Construction, PPE, Cleaning Equipment and general discussion on the current response to Covid-19. Further information requested within the session was sent out to both the Estates and Domestics groups following the event. Sarah Dye, category manager for Domestics group, joined the session to provide answers to the wider group in areas relating to those that cut across the Domestics group framework agreement such as Cleaning and Janitorial, Washroom Services, and face masks. A total of 18 members attended the session including members who were not representative from the Estates Category Group.

Analysis of Feedback & Suggested Recomendations - A breakdown of the feedback from the survey we sent out after the session can be viewed below.
