ESG is the acronym for Environmental, Social, and (Corporate) Governance, these three broad categories form what is termed “socially responsible investors.”
We were joined at the session by Andrew Hewett the Director of Finance at Manchester Metropolitan University who shared a HE Director of Finance’s perspective on ESG and how it might look in real life. You can access Andrew's slides on 'Environmental, Social and Governance (issues in Higher Education' here.

We also heard from Smita Jamdar – Head of Education at Shakespeare Martineau and Udi Datta – Procurement and Commercial Specialist at Shakespeare Martineau who talked about ESG and what it means for procurement. You can find Smita and Udi's slides on 'Embedding ESG in Higher Education' here.

The session was recorded and can be watched via the video below or through this link.  Please feel free to circulate this to colleagues in your institution who may find it useful.
