Servers, Storage and Solutions Agreement Awarded  

Southern Universities Purchasing Consortium (SUPC) has awarded a national framework agreement for Servers, Storage and Solutions.  The agreement, worth an estimated £200 - £600 million in business over the life of the agreement, allows over 150 universities across the UK to purchase server and storage requirements through an EU compliant route.

 

Covering servers, storage, converged, hyper-converged, hybrid, and high performance computing solutions, the agreement brings together innovative and industry-leading manufacturers and resellers to supply to the HE sector.   The agreement will run for two years with a possible two 12-month extension periods.

 

The following suppliers have been awarded to the agreement:

 

  • Lot 1 (Servers) – Dell, Fujitsu, HPE, Huawei, Lenovo, Stone and XMA
  • Lot 2 (Storage) – Dell, Fujitsu, HPE, Huawei, Lenovo and NetApp
  • Lot 3a (Converged, Hyper-Converged, Hybrid and Other Solutions)– Cisco, Dell, Fujitsu, Hitachi, Huawei and Lenovo
  • Lot 3b (High Performance Computing and/or Data Intensive Computing)– Atos IT Services, Clustervision, Dell, Fujitsu, HPE, Huawei, Lenovo and XMA 
  • Lot 4 (Reseller Solutions) - CDW, CSA Waverley, Insight, Logicalis, OCF, Q Associates, SCC, Softcat, Stone, Tectrade and XMA

“This new framework has been developed in consultation with institutions and brings together key suppliers of the most in-demand server and storage technology.  We’re proud to be delivering the first high performance computing agreement to the sector and will work closely with suppliers and members to ensure the agreement provides best value over its lifetime.” Says Head of SUPC Susan Wright.
